Bristol/Warren School District Offers Teacher, Faculty & Student Wellness Programs with Help from EVOLUTION
Bristol, RI, April 29, 2008 -- EVOLUTION Bodywork & Nutrition today announced they will be providing wellness programs for the faculty, staff and students of the Bristol/Warren Regional School District at the Mount Hope High School Healthy Huskies Wellness Center.
EVOLUTION has begun this partnership by providing fitness classes during after school hours for interested students, faculty and staff. Classes include Cardio Blast, Body Sculpt and Power Yoga.
“It’s great to work with Evolution. They have programs that complement what we have here at the Wellness Center and we really wanted to expand our programming. Fitness classes are something we really wanted to do for everyone” said TJ DelSanto, Wellness Center Director and Physical Education/Health Department Chair at Mount Hope High School.
The Healthy Huskies Wellness Center is Mt. Hope High School's one-of-a-kind, in- school fitness center featuring state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength training equipment, including 6 treadmills, 4 cross-trainers, 8 exercise bikes, a 13 station Nautilus strength training circuit, and more. The Wellness Center also features a 40 ft. horizontal climbing wall and a 20 ft. high vertical climbing wall. The Healthy Huskies Wellness Center is the centerpiece of the Bristol/Warren fitness-focused physical education curriculum. Established in 2003, the Wellness Center was funded through a $110,500 Champlin Foundations grant awarded to their PE/Health department.
Healthy Huskies Wellness Center Hours: School Days 2:30 – 5:00 P.M. and Vacation Days as announced.
