Gardeners Stretch, Lengthen & Strengthen at Blithewold Mansion in Bristol, RI
Bristol, RI, July 21, 2008 -- EVOLUTION Bodywork & Nutrition today announced they will be teaching a fitness workshop for gardeners at Blithewold Mansion, “A Gardener's Guide to Movement: How to Stretch, Lengthen & Strengthen Your Body”, Thursday, August 7th from 8:30-10:00 A.M.
This 1.5 hour workshop is designed to help gardeners counteract the postures, positions and repetitive movements that tending a yard creates. The workshop will utilize Pilates Mat and Active Isolated Stretching to bring awareness to the body and to address the specific aches, pains and injuries that occur, as well as teach skills to build core strength. Gardening often requires repetitive movement and positioning that can cause muscular strain and fatigue. This workshop will cover exercises and stretches that will assist gardeners in improving their functional strength and flexibility, to have more agility and feel better doing what they love.
